A Homage to the introspective beauty of winter. This season has always carried a self-reflective time for me. The leaves change from bright green to golden and thus, fall from the branches in a hypnotic carousel.

The interminable inspiration provided by natural shapes combined with the creative necessity to find unconventional material that could convey the jewel an organic, tactile feeling was the purpose of this opera.

The patina on the aluminium electrolytically burned with sulfuric acid gave me the visual result I was looking for.  The warm and familiar feeling of decadent organic material. Something that shapeshifts into a different stage of its existence, still retaining its prime beauty.
